The City that puts the York in Yorkshire, famous for it’s Minster (big church) and city walls going around the perimeter, as well as being the home to the world’s largest railway museum.
The railway station in the City also serves as a major hub on the railway network, where the East Coast Mainline (ECML) and Transpennine Express routes intersect.
I often feel more at home when visting York than I do 40-miles+ away on the Yorkshire Coast.
